Breathing is a subconscious function that we all know is a life force. The way you breathe can have dramatic effects on your overall well-being and by bringing it to the conscious mind through ‘breath work’ you can rapidly alter your entire body and its energy, bringing your mind, body, and spirit together. Ultimately, this has a huge impact on your potential with your relationship with Spirituality.
Breathing, although something we rarely think about as we move through our days, is responsible for an extremely vital and complex process - delivering oxygen to our physical body and when you think about it like that, you realise it’s probably something you should want to ensure is done as optimally as possible, right?
Well, here’s the thing, you’ve most likely been doing it wrong! Yep, most people are doing it wrong! And by ‘wrong’ I mean if you’ve just casually been breathing in and out all these years thinking that’s all there is to it, then I am sorry to break it to you but, wrong.
Good news is... you are about to learn a few things that will literally change your life in many, many ways!
In today’s video, I take you through one of the optimal ways of ‘everyday breathing’ – Diaphragmatic breathing and chat about how breathing can impact your body's pH balance, the quality of your sleep, your mood, your ability to focus, and soooo much more! In my opinion though, the most powerful benefit is the quality of your present moment.
I’ll also talk about Square (or Box) Breathing and how it is a game-changing tool you can adopt!

These days there are many breathwork techniques available to discover and each one has a time and a place, along with its benefits. Some are more focused around intense healing through the access to pure emotions while in an altered state of consciousness:
While most of these are very similar in that they all claim to be healing and transformative on a spirit, mind and body level, they are all experiential and rely on your willingness to surrender. Personally, I prefer to practice breathwork daily so as to deepen my connection with the present moment. However, when deep diving is required, Somatic would be my choice.
A few years ago now, I was introduced to an extraordinary man known as The Ice Man, Wim Hof. Whilst I originally met him to talk about the benefits of Cryotherapy for auto-immune diseases, he introduced me to ‘breath work’.
